THE PROJECT
Inside Palazzo Scarciglia in Lecce, a light art installation dedicated to the theme of biodiversity is taking shape. The work interacts with the space’s historic architecture, creating a striking contrast between the building’s ancient materials and the lightness of the light.
The installation consists of LED light tubes suspended from a tripod approximately 6 meters high. The luminous forms, clustered in the central part of the structure, evoke a living organism in constant transformation, symbolically reflecting the complexity and interconnection of natural elements.
The work’s vibrant, moving light enhances the surrounding environment and transforms the space into an immersive experience, inviting the public to reflect on the value of biodiversity and the need to preserve the balance between nature, the environment, and human presence.
This contemporary installation uses light to connect art, architecture, and nature, creating a visual experience that blends harmoniously into the historic setting of Palazzo Scarciglia.
