THE PROJECT

RACEChoose a color and run faster than your opponent!

CANNONSShoot the right color so you don't lose a life. You only have three!

LED Ecologies – Race & Cannon is an interactive installation proposal composed of light-based games built with accessible electronic components and reclaimed materials. The project draws from the imagery of arcade games, but shifts it into an artistic context: the game becomes a relational device, a small ecology shaped by gestures, reaction times, light, error, competition, and collaboration.

The first module, LED Race, transforms three arcade buttons into three luminous tracks. Each participant activates their own color and takes part in a race of rhythm and reflexes.
The LED strip becomes a minimal, visible, and immediate track: a line of light that advances in response to human gesture.
The second module, LED Cannon, is conceived as an expansion of the same visual and interactive language: a game of aiming, launching, or hitting a luminous target, in which the audience generates trajectories, impacts, and visual responses. Race and Cannon share the same principle: making the relationship between body and technology simple, physical, and legible.
The work does not conceal its own construction: cables, buttons, wood, and electronic boards remain part of its visual language. This transparency brings forward a low-tech, modifiable form of technology, rooted in DIY practices and the culture of reuse.
