THE PROJECT
Trinity is a series of light art installations designed for the spaces of the Convitto Palmieri in Lecce, where light, architecture, and sound come together to create an immersive experience.
The first installation consists of luminous LED triangles suspended within a structure approximately 8 meters high. The geometric shapes, suspended in space and illuminated by an intense, iridescent light, interact with the Convitto’s historic architecture, creating a striking contrast between the contemporary dimension of the artwork and the monumental scale of the setting.
The second installation also features the triangle as its central element. It is created using LED bulbs mounted on a triangular wooden panel suspended from a structure approximately 4 meters high. The ability to adjust the intensity of the light allows for the creation of different atmospheres and highlights the material and geometry of the work.
Rounding out the project will be an ambient sound design, conceived to accompany the visual installations and amplify their immersive quality. Sound and light will work together to transform the space into a sensory environment, engaging the audience not only through what they see but also through what they hear.
Trinity thus emerges from the convergence of light, form, architecture, and sound, with the goal of creating a contemporary experience within a place rich in history and identity.
