atFest — digital arts and new technologies festival — sets a CALL FOR WORKS IN AUMENTED REALITY directed to artists and graphic designers for a selection of animations in AR to enjoy by the official App of the Festival.

In this edition of the festival, artists from all parts of Europe will create a bright itinerary in the historical centre of the city of Lecce. The project includes videomapping, video-projections, light sculptures and stagings for public spaces.
atFest has the main purpose to enhance local cultural heritage: places, architectures, traditions and local productions. Thanks to the power of digital art, using the light and technological systems will be possible to create an interaction between users and locations.


Artists are invited to elaborate an original animation based on the Vittorio Bodini’s drawings, literate and apulian poet lived in the ‘900 century, strongly linked to the city of Lecce and to Salento.

To take part of the selection of the work artists are invited to send the following documents within the 23:59 of the 31st of July to with the object CALL AUGMENTED REALITY:

video animation files in mp4 H264 format, 16:9 or 9:16, Full HD;
short bio of artist.

Results will be communicate within the 10th of August 2021.
Date of pubblication could be changed depending to the numbers of applicants.


They will be selected at most five contents that will be uploaded in the official App of the Festival. It will be possibile to see them thanks to the AR technologies simply framing determined points in the hystorical centre of Lecce.
The authors of the contents will receive a fee of 100€ + IVA and they will be named in the relative file of the created content.
The provided elements by the participants could be pubblished on the channel of the festival (web site, application mobile, social account, etc) and used by the organization for promotion purpose.
